What is this job all about?

We’re looking for a Senior VFX Artist (f/m/d) who will help us bring more punch, clarity, and satisfaction to combat in one of our projects.

If you have experience working on shooter games and know how to make weapons feel impactful and responsive, you might be a great fit!

What will you be doing?

• Designing and implementing a full range of combat VFX - including muzzle flashes, tracers, impacts, ricochets, and explosions;

• Working closely with Game Design and Animation to ensure VFX support gameplay readability and enhance the overall player experience;

• Shaping the feel of weapons and ammo through high-quality, responsive effects;

• Optimizing VFX for mobile performance while maintaining strong visual quality;

• Iterating on your work based on feedback and playtests, always aiming to improve the in-game feel.

What are we looking for?

• Experience creating high-quality VFX for action/FPS/TPS games (AAA or PC/console);

• Strong understanding of real-time VFX workflows and particle systems (Unity or Unreal);

• Hands-on experience with tools like EmberGen, Substance Designer, Photoshop (or similar);

• Understanding of how projectiles behave and interact with different surfaces and environments;

• Practical knowledge of optimizing VFX for mobile (overdraw, draw calls, shader performance);

• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
