What is this job all about?

As a Game Economy Designer, you will be responsible for designing, balancing, and optimizing the in-game economy of our mobile games. You will work closely with game designers, data analysts, and product managers to create engaging economic systems that drive player retention, progression, and monetization while maintaining fair and enjoyable gameplay.

What will you be doing?

• Design and Balance the Game Economy: Develop and fine-tune in-game economic systems, including currency sinks/sources, pricing models, progression curves, and rewards.

• Analyze Player Behavior: Utilize data analytics and player feedback to identify trends and refine economic models to improve engagement and monetization.

• Optimize Monetization Strategies: Collaborate with monetization and product teams to implement fair and effective monetization mechanics, such as IAPs (in-app purchases), battle passes, and events.

• Live Ops Support: Adjust and iterate on the economy based on live game performance and A/B testing.

• Game Progression & Pacing: Ensure a balanced progression system that keeps players engaged over time.

• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and marketing, to integrate economic design into broader game mechanics.

• Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor economies, and best practices to improve our game economies.

What are we looking for?

• Mathematical & Statistical Proficiency: Ability to create economic models, balance game economies, and analyze player behavior using spreadsheets, SQL, or analytics tools.

• Game Knowledge: Deep understanding of F2P game monetization and progression models.

• Collaboration Skills: Ability to communicate complex economic concepts effectively to non-economists.

• Problem-Solving Mindset: Passion for creating fair, fun, and sustainable game economies.

• Tools: Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization and analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, etc.)

• Language: Fluency in English is required.

• Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of economic principles, behavioral economics, and game data analysis.

Amaze us with:

• Experience working on mobile F2P games.

• Background in economics, game theory, statistics, or related fields.

• Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python, SQL, etc.).

• Passion for hunting, fishing, or outdoor simulation games.
